In rented properties, it is a legal requirement for all gas appliances (such as cookers, boilers and any other gas appliances) to be inspected by a Gas Safe engineer to ensure they are safe for use by tenants at the property. According to The Gas Safety (Installation and Use) Regulations 1998, it is the landlord’s legal responsibility to arrange for annual gas safety checks to be carried out at their property.
At Gas Logics, all of our engineers are Gas Safe registered and will be able to conduct the Gas Safety inspections of your property and appliances to the highest standard.
Following the inspection of all the gas appliances in the property, you will be issued with a Gas Safety Record (previously known as a certificate or a CP12), which is valid for 1 year.
What the Gas Safety Record will show:
- A description of every appliance tested
- Results of the gas safety checks conducted on each appliance
- Any safety issues identified during the checks
- Any action or work required ensuring safety
- Details of the engineer who did the gas safety checks, their signature and the date of the check
- Details of the landlord and of their property
Alongside the required annual Gas Safety Certificate, it’s also required to have your boiler serviced every year to keep the warranty valid. At Gas Logics, we offer both services in one appointment for your convenience.
